Frustration, a market gap and Apricity was created...

Apricity was created out of frustrations. A frustration that compliance is clunky, slow, often lacking in common sense, and usually lacking the personal touch.

IFA firms could traditionally either select large compliance providers where they’d feel confident in their technical knowledge, but got no personal service. or smaller compliance providers where they’d get a superior service, with practical file checks, but would miss some of the wider support functions. Apricity decided to change all this by creating a web platform to ffer the best of a small firm with the comprehensive knowledge of a large firm.

Regulations require compliance

IFA's as part of their day to day roles are required to ensure that they are legally meeting the aims of their clients. This is obviously heavily regulated and requires error free, comprehensive checks on aspects of a financial product, the individual concerned and the suitability of the product. Nothing existed in the modern marketplace to automate this 'checking' in a quick and compliant way.

Successful Web Solution

Sapere built a fully web desktop / mobile accessible application to allow IFA's to access full compliance expertise in an ordered and comprehensive way.

With a complex brief for a bespoke case management system we approached a number of software developers but they were unable to evidence similar work and ultimately, unable to reassure us that they were capable of successfully undertaking the job.

We were then recommended Sapere by a number of different people and were assured from the first point of contact that they were the guys for the job as they confidently talked us through a portfolio of similar work. Sapere did a great job of deciphering our ramblings and keeping up with our ever-evolving brief. Each briefing session was followed up with a new iteration of a scoping document and when both of us were confident that everything was covered they got started with development.

The project did extend outside the original timescales but believe this was largely down to the growing nature of our project. That said, Sapere always strived to meet new deadlines and ensured he had a working demo version available for exhibition launch after some compromise on both sides. Now with a launched live system, Sapere are continuing to support us with ironing out the last few niggles and undoubtedly, will continue to support us with our after-care and beyond.
